Al Schmitt Signature Plugin

Leapwing is proud to announce their first signature plugin, developed with none other than legendary producer-engineer Al Schmitt. “When Al said he wanted to create a plugin with us, we couldn’t have been more excited!”, says Emiliano Caballero, co-founder of Leapwing. “We set out to evaluate and understand all the intricacies that make Al and his sound so unique. Our team analyzed Al’s workflow, gear and processes of the last decades, from subtle harmonic characteristics to echos, compression and EQ. This then led us to create distinctive features that define his sound.”

The Al Schmitt signature plugin has 6 distinct profiles: vocal, piano, bass, brass, strings, and mix (bus). Each one has different sonic characteristics and parameters based on Al’s workflow and perception of each instrument. Distilled to minimal controls, and conceived to allow you to get your sound instantly.

Al is an industry veteran, who has been recording artists for over 7 decades, all the way from Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Miles Davis; to Johnny Cash, and Steely Dan. Add to that Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Celine Dion or Paul McCartney… and you’ll see why there are few within the music industry who have overseen more culture-defining artistic moments than Al Schmitt. As a winner of 20 Grammy awards, 2 Latin Grammys and a Trustees Grammy for Lifetime Achievement, Schmitt has helped artists garner an astounding 160 gold and platinum albums. Schmitt was honored as the only engineer ever with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2015.

Registration
Go to https://www.leapwingaudio.com/redeem/ > Enter your redeem code found in the ‘Serial Number’ section of your Plugin Central User Account and click ‘Continue’.

2. To create your Leapwing Audio account, fill out all fields with an asterisk (*) next to them > Check that the order total is £0.00 then click ‘Place Order’.

Installation
1. In your Leapwing Audio account click the button to download your installer.

2. Double-click the .zip file to extract the contents and open the .pkg file to begin installation > Click ‘Continue’.

3. Click ‘Continue’.

4. Click ‘Continue’.

5. Click ‘Agree’.

6. Click ‘Continue’.

7. Click ‘Install’.

8. Enter your computer Username and Password > Click ‘Install Software’.

9. Click ‘Close’.

Activation
1. Open your recently installed product in your DAW and enter your Leapwing Audio-registered email address and Serial Number, found in your Leapwing Audio account > Click ‘Authenticate’.

Note: After registration, you will also have received your serial number in the confirmation email from Leapwing Audio.

Your software is now activated and ready to use.

WINDOWS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. In your Leapwing Audio account click the button to download your installer.

2. Double-click the .zip file to extract the contents and open the .exe file to begin installation > Select ‘I Accept the Agreement’ and click ‘Next’.

3. Click ‘Next’.

4. Click ‘Next’.

5. Click ‘Next’.

6. Click ‘Install’.

7. Click ‘Finish’.

Activation
1. Open your recently installed product in your DAW and enter your Leapwing Audio-registered email address and Serial Number, found in your Leapwing Audio account > Click ‘Authenticate’.
